Hi, I’m Sandro. I was found out in the rain with nowhere to call home. Thankfully, I was rescued by some nice people and brought to El Refugio.

I have a gentle temperament and get along well with people and kids too. I also walk good on a leash.

I’m not much of a barker. I don’t need a fenced in yard. Plus, I like to stay near my humans.

I don’t like baths very much. I am learning about stairs right now too, and I shed a little bit, but who doesn’t???

I am now at a foster family where I am learning new things everyday. But, I really want my own family. Can I be yours? xo Sandro

More about Sandro from his fosters: “He’s a very sweet dog with an excellent disposition. He’s very smart.. He loves being outside, walking, hiking. He stays with you, as well on hikes out in the mountains. He also whimpers when he’s happy, sad, excited, it’s morning or he’s scared. He is protective. He only barks when being protective. He is timid of cats and usually good with other dogs unless he’s in protective mode or it’s not a nice dog. He’s a happy, curious super fun doggie with a lot of love to give.”

Visit our shelter

Our shelter is open to the public for Adoption Saturdays from 9-12 every Saturday. If you are unable to visit during those hours, please contact us to arrange another time!

All animals at El RefUgio are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and dewormed.
