Hi, my name is Max. I was rescued from the streets of Uvita. I’m a big dog, but I am super sweet, and I am full of love!
I want a human with kindness to teach me, because I am really smart and I can quickly learn. I get along great with humans.
I am walking good on a leash with strong leaders. I have a little bit of alpha in me, so I need to be properly introduced to other dogs. I have gotten along well with the female dogs at the shelter but I would be best in a home with no other dogs.
I am not very good with cats.

Our shelter is open to the public for Adoption Saturdays from 9-12 every Saturday. If you are unable to visit during those hours, please contact us to arrange another time!
All animals at El RefUgio are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and dewormed.
