Since arriving at El Refugio, he’s blossomed into a tender, affectionate companion who asks for nothing more than love, gentle attention, and an audience for his favorite “song.” See how much we love him, below.
THIS IS WHAT OUR VOLUNTEERS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT CHOMP:
The following quotes are from a Whatsapp group where the volunteers were chatting amongst themselves about how much they love Chomp.
“Love that Chomp!”
Jennifer
“Oh, Chomp…I love you so much! ♥️
I do love them all but, Chomp…he’s a therapist with fur.
When he sits in his play yard chair, it’s therapy time.
The Dogtor is in. 😂
He is a very vocal pup but when you talk to him, he listens intently.
I mean, he really listens.
He often gives a look like, “En serio, Autuhm!”
Yes, Chomp.
En serio. 🥹”
Autuhm
“He’s pure love. And he’s a charmer.
I love that pup, too.”
😍❤️🫶

“Chomp, wrapped around the back of my body. He originally was sitting next to me on his own chair. Jumped on mine and put his head on my thighs! Just love that boy!!!”
Shawn
Chomp’s story began on a little farm down south, where this scruffy wanderer stumbled into a castration clinic — and straight into all our hearts. Missing a few teeth, he quickly earned the name Chomp, but don’t be fooled… he’s all softness and soul.
Come meet Chomp and let him serenade his way right into your heart. His singing is one of his most endearing traits. You just have to meet him and hear him for yourself!
