Hi, my name is Papaya. I was a stray in Uvita, Costa Rica. I am very happy to be rescued and receiving lots of attention and love.
I am gentle and I get along well with people and other dogs. I am totally housebroken, and I love everyone! I also walk great on a leash in “heel” and know many commands. I am super smart! I am a big girl (about 25 kilograms / 55 pounds), which means lots of love!
***I would do best in a home with a fenced yard because sometimes I like to wander and go on adventures!***

Our shelter is open to the public for Adoption Saturdays from 9-12 every Saturday. If you are unable to visit during those hours, please contact us to arrange another time!
All animals at El Refugio are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and dewormed.
